SUMMARY:

The Outside Sales Representative is primarily responsible for generating new sales and maintaining sales accounts of the Company related to the Company’s FieldForce Equipment Sales & Rentals business unit and its municipal / industrial services. This role includes active sales calling effort on a daily basis and coordination of various aspects of proposal and estimate preparation, delivery and tracking of proposal results. This position reports to the Director of Sales.

STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.

Education/Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Experience in sales, marketing and/or business development or equivalent experience is desired.

· Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills and possess the ability to multi-task.

· Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· Good relationship management & communication skills

· High levels of integrity and ability to operate within established company frameworks

· Interpersonal skills (e.g., persuasion, negotiation, cooperation, diplomacy).

· Valid driver’s license.

· Some travel is required

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Identify and establish contact with potential customers.

· Schedule and perform product demonstrations and/or educational sessions with potential customers.

· Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and current customers.

· Attend industry trade shows to identify potential leads and sales opportunities.

· Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales.

· Maintain active prospect list, sales call plan, strategic sales approach.

· Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific industry, region, or sector.

· Acts as proposal manager for all requests for proposal, coordinating job assignments and accountabilities;

· Coordinates due diligence, site evaluations, job walks etc. as required;

· Prepares proposals and cost estimates in accordance with company guidelines;

· Finalizes Work Orders, seeking proper approvals before submitting to customers;

· Contributes to the effectiveness of the sales & business development team, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member;

· Reports weekly tracking of sales calls and opportunities;

· Compiles and keeps current approved price schedules;

· Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a functional position with no personnel reporting to it.

Approximately 75% travel to customer locations and job sites; 25% Office Environment. Occasional overnight travel required.
